So we build the day with room in it. We ask before we pack. Boxes get labelled clearly, by room and by what's inside, so nothing important vanishes into a wall of cardboard. We explain what's happening as it happens, and the pace follows the person the move is for, not the other way around.

A home holds decades of things that already survived one round of deciding, and now only some of them fit in the next place. Arranging a move for a parent?

If you're the one organizing this, from the next borough over or the other side of the country, you can set the whole move up by phone and email. We'll keep both of you in the loop while it comes together. Tell us about both buildings when you get your quote. If either one wants a COI or has rules about the freight elevator, we deal with the management company directly, so you're not playing messenger from three states away. And on the day itself, the crew takes its lead from the person whose home it is. You've done the organizing; they still get to be in charge of their own move.

You can set the whole move up by phone and email (the buildings, what's moving, what the day should look like) and we'll keep both of you in the loop while it comes together. What happens to the things that aren't coming?

That's your decision, and nobody from our side will hurry it. Sort at your own speed before moving day; when we arrive, we move what's going and leave the rest exactly as you sorted it. If some things need somewhere else to go, whether that's to family, to donation, or into storage, tell us when you call and we'll tell you plainly how we can help.

Does a senior move cost more?

No. Your quote is built from the move itself: how much is going, the stairs and elevators at each end, where the truck can stop. Age isn't a line item.
