The moving company named after what you keep

We're a moving company in New York City, named after the hardest things to move, not the heaviest ones: the box of photos, the records, the mug that isn't dishwasher safe. We move all of it with the care it deserves.

Why we're called Keepsake

Every move has a couch, a bed frame, and forty boxes. Somewhere in there is the other stuff: the shoebox of letters, the framed print, your grandmother's china. A keepsake is anything a store can't replace, and those things are the real job. That's what we named the company after.

And the "Storage" part of the name? If your move has a gap in the middle, we handle storage too: your things are picked up, stored, and brought back when the new place is ready.

The person behind the padlock

There's a person behind the padlock in our logo. Kieran runs Keepsake, and when you write to kieran@keepsakemoving.com, Kieran is who you get, not a ticket queue with a first name stapled on.

If you'd rather talk than type, call (917) 478-8075 and tell us about your move.

The same care whether it's worth a lot, or just worth a lot to you

Ask most movers why you should hire them and you'll get adjectives. We'd rather show you how a mirror travels with us: off the wall, corners padded, wrapped face-in on the spot, loaded upright between soft things, and marked so nobody stacks a box on it. That's the standard for everything you'd mind losing, whether it came from an auction house or a stoop sale.

How a move with us works

No mystery here: four steps, start to finish.

  1. You tell us about your move.

Where you're leaving, where you're landing, what floor, whether there's an elevator, and roughly what you own. It takes about two minutes, and nothing's locked in.

  2. We build your quote around your actual move.

How much you own, how many stairs, where the truck can stop: it all goes into the number before you see it. Kieran's team comes back to you, and if anything's unclear, we ask instead of guessing.

  3. We sort the building stuff before moving day.

If your building wants a COI, we deal with your management company directly, so you're not playing messenger all week. If your block's parking flips at 8:30, we plan around it.

  4. Moving day.

We pad and wrap, carry, load, drive, and set everything down where you point: beds where beds go, boxes in the rooms they're labelled for. If packing help is part of the picture, say so in your quote and we'll build it into the plan.

Offices, apartments, and everything in between: see everything we move and where we work.

Moving week is stressful enough. The quote is the easy part.

Tell us about your move, or call and talk it through. Either way, you're dealing with people who treat the box of photos like it's the whole job, because to you, it kind of is.

Moving what matters most.
