Commercial movers in NYC for offices and workspaces

Moving a business in New York means getting desks, files and equipment through freight elevators, service entrances and two sets of building rules — all while the work keeps happening. We handle the building side, label everything to the desk it's headed for, and set things down where people can find them. Tell us about your space and we'll price the move.

Step 1 of 4: Move

Step 1: Move

First, the move itself

Where you're leaving and where you're landing.

Number and street is best. A neighborhood works if that's what you've got.

Not settled yet? The neighborhood, or even just the borough, is enough for now.

We plan the move around how your business runs

No two businesses can pause the same way. Some can pack up around a quiet stretch, some have client work running to the last day, and some just need the phones answered while the furniture disappears behind them. So the first planning conversation is about your calendar: what can go early, what stays live until the end, and what you need working first on the other side.

The loading plan follows from there. What you need back first goes on the truck last, and the boxes marked urgent come off before the ones marked archive. None of it is complicated; it just has to be planned.

Tell us the timing your buildings and your team are working with, and we'll build the move around it.

COIs, freight elevators, and two building managers

Most commercial buildings in New York want a certificate of insurance on file before a mover goes near the freight elevator, and the building you're moving into will want its own. We deal with the management companies directly at both ends, so COI requests, elevator reservations and loading-dock rules don't become your side job for the week.

How an office move works

  1. Tell us what's moving. Desks, chairs, files, shelving, equipment, and what's staying behind or getting tossed. The clearer the list, the tighter the plan and the quote.
  2. We handle the building side. Certificates of insurance, freight-elevator windows, loading rules: for the building you're leaving and the one you're moving into.
  3. Everything gets labelled to its destination. Pack up yourselves or add our packing services. Either way, boxes, chairs, and monitors get marked for the room and the desk they're headed to, not just “office.”
  4. Moving day follows the plan. Furniture and equipment get wrapped and padded, then loaded in the order that serves the unload: what you need first goes on last.
  5. Set-down, not drop-off. Everything lands in the room it's marked for, so nobody spends their first morning back hunting for a keyboard.

What goes into your quote

We price the move you're actually making, not a formula. When you tell us about your move, this is what moves the number:

  • How much is moving: desks, chairs, files, shelving, and equipment, and how much of it needs wrapping or careful handling.
  • Access at both ends: freight elevators, loading docks, stairs, and how close the truck can get to each door.
  • Packing: whether your team packs up, or we handle some or all of it.
  • Timing: the access windows your buildings allow and the constraints your business needs us to work around.

Get your quote: the more you can tell us about the space, the sharper the number.

Questions businesses ask us

Do you handle the COI for our building?

Yes. We deal with building management directly: at your current building and the one you're moving into. Add the management contacts for both when you start your quote and we'll take the paperwork from there.

Can you move us outside business hours?

The schedule gets built around two things: the access windows your buildings allow and the hours your business needs to protect. Tell us both in your quote and we'll tell you exactly what we can do.

How far in advance should we book an office move?

Earlier than a home move, usually. Commercial buildings often want COIs and freight-elevator reservations on file days or weeks ahead, and the plan gets better with room to breathe. Starting your quote early costs nothing and locks nothing in.

Can you move our IT equipment?

Monitors, towers, printers, and peripherals get wrapped, padded, and labelled back to the desk they came from, like anything else fragile. If you're running server or network gear, mention it when you get your quote so we can plan for it.

Moving an office is a big week for everyone in it. The quote is the easy part.
