Getting out of New York is half the job
The hardest mile of a long-distance move is usually the first one. It has the fourth-floor walk-up, the management company that wants a COI, and the parking that flips at 8:30. That part is our home turf. We deal with your building directly, book the freight elevator and plan the load-out around the block's rules, so the long part of the trip starts on time.
Packed like it's going the distance
Twenty blocks is forgiving; a few hundred miles of highway isn't. So a long haul gets packed for the road. Furniture is padded and wrapped in the room, not out on the sidewalk. Boxes are packed full so nothing shifts, and labelled by room for the other end. Fragile pieces travel upright, wrapped and marked so nothing gets stacked on top. Your grandmother's china gets paper between every plate whether it's going to Queens or three states away.

We build your quote from your actual move, not a template. Here's what goes into it:
- How much is going: rooms, large pieces, and anything unusual.
- Where it's going: the distance, and what access looks like at the other end.
- The building on this end: stairs or elevator, and where the truck can legally stop.
- Packing: whether you're packing yourself, we're packing everything, or it's somewhere in between.
- Timing: your move-out date and how much flexibility there is around it.

Storage
If there's a gap between homes, we arrange storage as part of the move. Your things are picked up, stored, and brought back when you're ready.

How far ahead should I book a long-distance move?
Further ahead than a crosstown move: a few weeks gives us room to plan the packing, book your building's freight elevator and get the COI sorted before moving day. If your timeline is tighter than that, ask anyway; the answer might still be yes. Start your quote and put your dates in.
Can you pack everything, or just the fragile things?
Either. Some people hand us the whole apartment; others just want the kitchen and the breakables packed properly before the long ride. Say so in your quote, and if you're not sure, tell us that too and we'll talk it through. Our packing services in NYC page covers how we pack.
When will my things arrive?
It depends on the distance and the calendar. We'd rather give you a real answer for your specific move than a number that looks good on a website. Timing is agreed as part of your quote, before you commit to anything.
